Now playing at Theatre Horizon in Norristown, A New Brain is an autobiographical musical comedy written by Tony Award winners William Finn (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and James Lapine (Into the Woods) that explores one man’s response to a life-threatening medical diagnosis. The 1998 play based on Finn’s own experience of finding out that he had a potentially deadly “arteriovenous malformation” – a tangle of blood vessels – in his brain, and having little choice but to go through a risky neurosurgery to save his life.

Theatre Horizon To Announce Plans for New Home at Holiday Opening Night Performance


Nonprofit awarded grant to join Norristown’s economic revitalization movement

Norristown, PA (Dec 6, 2011) – Theatre Horizon, Norristown’s professional nonprofit theatre company, will announce plans for the construction and grand opening of a new theatre slated for the Fall 2012. Company Co-Founders Erin Reilly and Matthew Decker will lead the formal announcement and rendering preview to the public at the Voices of Christmas opening night performance on December 16 at 7:45pm.
